Emotion in Child ADHD and Autism Study

​

We are currently recruiting youth with Autism and/or ADHD ages 8-12 years old to participate in an fMRI and EKG study of emotion regulation  to advance the understanding of different mechanisms underlying these disorders. Adolescent/Emerging Adult Autism & Mental Health Study

We are currently recruiting teens (ages 12-17 years old) and emerging adults (ages 18-25 years old) with or without a diagnosis of Autism to complete a study on mental health in teens and young adults with Autism. See PARTICIPATE section to learn how you can help! or contact emusser@barnard.edu

Child ADHD fMRI Study

These studies involved two projects examining child brain development, emotion development, and/or executive function. We are recruited children ages 5-6 years old and separately 8-12 years old.  For more information, contact Dr. Musser at emusser@barnard.edu

Child ADHD Temperament, Heart Rate, and Electrodermal Study

​

​This study used EKG, EDA, rating scales, and computer tasks to examine the role that temperament and emotions play in ADHD. For more information contact Dr. Musser at emusser@barnard.edu

Child ADHD Emotion and Culture Study

​

This study used EKG, EDA, rating scales and lab tasks to examine the role that culture plays in childhood emotional development and ADHD development. For more information contact Dr. Musser at emusser@barnard.edu

Autism and Intellectual Disability Post-Secondary Education Program

​

This study examined characteristics and outcomes of emerging adults with neurodevelopmental disabilities involved in a post-secondary education program. For more information contact Dr. Laird at alaird@fiu.edu

Child Narrative Study

​

In collaboration with Dr. J. Zoe Klemfuss, we completed a project examining how children develop narratives for emotional or stressful events. We were recruiting children ages 8-12 years old.  For more information, contact Dr. Klemfuss at jklemfus@uci.edu

Child Attention & Memory Study

​

In collaboration with Dr. Joseph Raiker, we are completed a project examining how children's attentional and memory-related processes. We were recruiting children ages 6-12 years old both with and without ADHD.  For more information, contact Dr. Raiker at jraiker@gmail.com

Infant Sibling ADHD and/or Autism Study

​

​In collaboration with Dr. Meghan Miller, we completed a project examining early indicators of risk for ADHD and/or Autism among infant siblings of youth with a diagnosis. For more information, contact Dr. Miller at mrhmiller@ucdavis.edu

Empathy Training for Clinical Care of Patients with Suicidal Ideation

​
